Windowseat Lounge Provides Privacy in Public Places

Posted by Mariam Nibbi

A seat that loops over the head of the sitter provides a sense of enclosure and privacy in busy public environments like airports and hotel lobbies, or simply reduces distractions at home. Windowseat Lounge by San Francisco design studio Mike & Maaike simply extends three walls to create a room within a room.

Incorporating these architectural elements makes it easier for the sitter to shut out the hustle and bustle of the room just beyond their safe little refuge. The back is left open so you can easily lean back and peek out, maintaining a connection.

This unusual chair design would also fit right into offices with open plans, where its easy to feel very exposed. Closing yourself off in a private space to think or make a phone call is as easy as sitting down.

Whether your video service of choice is YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, or one of the many other choices, internet video is huge. For some users, watching videos on their smaller computer monitor does the job, but others prefer to view their movies and videos on their larger TV screen. PLAiR is a new product designed with those users in mind, as it allows them to stream content from their computer directly to a TV. The biggest thing that supposedly separates PLAiR from its competitors is the ease of use.

The device is designed such that users only need to hook it up to a display through HDMI, connect it to Wi-Fi, and download the Chrome, iOS, or Android application. From that point forward, any video played online will have a small logo that users can click on to send the video to the connected display.

The other difference between this and some other products is that it does not simply beam your entire monitor to the TV.

Trenchless Technology 101 Trenchless technology varies depending on who you direct your plumbing questions to, but trenchless pipe replacement technology has three basic steps. The first is the dig itself. The two small holes may be dug out using a backhoe or other mechanized gear. Once the pipe system is exposed on either end of the damaged section, part two of the work begins, with an installation head inserted into the original pipe.

This installation head is the key to trenchless pipe repair; the cone clears a path through the original pipe, pulling the replacement pipe along with it. This pipe-inside-a-pipe system uses the old pipe as an installation guide so the replacement can be properly connected to your plumbing. These replacement pipes are fully code-compliant and last a century. Once the pipe repair is complete, the installation head is removed, and the plumbers will begin putting the finishing touches on the job.

Camellia Growing – Making Them Happy

Posted by Elijah Ligertwood

Make sure you like Plant Care on Facebook to be updated every time we find a great tutorial along with exciting and innovative ways to use and care for plants.

In New Orleans, prior to 1930, camellias could not be grown satisfactorily. Only a few miles distant, to the east, north and west, however, they flourished with little or no care.

This seemingly paradoxical situation set off many an inquiry into these beautiful plants cultural requirements. For camellias, that is to say, now flourish in New Orleans as well as they do anywhere else.

A lead to the solution of the problem was supplied by a camellia specialist in Alabama, who surmised that poor drainage and strong alkaline soils were contributing factors to the poor growth of camellias in New Orleans.

Both his conjectures proved to be true. Areas to the east and north of New Orleans had sandy, acid soils of low fertility too low in fact to grow good crops of cotton and corn, but apparently quite to the liking of camellias.
