The new rug collection by Sydney-based graphic designer and artist Linus Dean instantly catch the eye with their dramatic styling and striking typography. Designer Picks: Light Fixtures Inspired by Nature

Posted by Elijah Ligertwood under Home Improvement Posts

It’s a common mantra of interior design that Mother Nature never gets it wrong and when looking for inspiration, she is the best decorator to borrow from. Whether it’s the gorgeous colors found in beach sand or the intricate patterns of leaves and snowflakes, the inspiration is endless. In addition to inspiration, it’s not uncommon for designers to use actual natural elements in their products for the home. The Belmont Dream House was designed by zo2 architecture and is located in Belmont-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland. This lovely home corner found on Pinterest ( feel free to follow us on Pinterest here )  seems to emanate only good vibes. The dresser in the image is particularly appealing with its small dimensions and gradually decreasing baby blue. Moreover, the fact that every drawer has a different hue could make organizing items much easier. But there is something else that caught my attention when first seeing this whimsical dresser: the fact that almost anyone with a little will and wood could come up with something just as interesting.

What makes these uncanny is their near-believability. The structures not quite impossible, in most cases, these renderings stretch the limits of the improbable.

Outdoor Wiring Guidelines

Posted by Elijah Ligertwood under Home Improvement Posts

Outdoor wiring is fairly similar to indoor wiring, with a couple of key differences. Outdoors, you have to protect all wiring and electrical devices from water and even excessive dampness. You do some of this indoors, in kitchens and bathrooms for example, but outdoors it’s more comprehensive. You also have to protect outdoor wiring (and yourself) from run-ins with shovels, lawnmowers and other potential causes of a bad short circuit.
