Having gazebos or other outdoor structures is one of the pleasures of being a homeowner. Sitting outside, enjoying the sounds and scents of nature in your own yard provides a sense of satisfaction and pride. When considering a gazebo, a few things should be taken into consideration.
Furniture You’ll want to have lots of room for outdoor furniture, especially if you like to entertain. Aluminum chairs or wooden Adirondacks will be fine but also consider that a chaise lounge or two will be nice. A table for drinks, candles and snacks should fill out the furniture requirements.
Other Considerations If a grill or metal fire pit is in the plans, be sure to make the gazebo large enough to accommodate the grill or fire pit in a position that doesn’t present a fire hazard. It’s best to use a small portable grill or pit that doesn’t put out too much heat or flame.
To keep out mosquitoes, netting can be purchased by the yard. You might also want to hook up an electrical outlet for plugging in a radio, cd or DVD player. If you prefer to buy a portable gazebo, most of the aforementioned considerations still apply.
