Nostalgic looks are all the rage with sewers nowadays and Simplicity has several patterns available that allow you to create authentic vintage looks. Checkout this charming suit pattern; it will take you back time. The long-sleeved top of this versatile ensemble is for stretch knits only; the sleeveless top can be done in laundered cottons. The jacket and skirt can be made in a variety of fabrics, including brocade and wool blends.
I love this little pillowcase dress. The version which features the embroidered southern belle was actually done with a vintage pillowcase, but other fabrics, such as cottons work as well.
